Kane has been working around the clock to script new content and fix old bugs since the revert.  He has done an amazing job cleaning up the shard

Over the past few weeks, we discovered the server had some hardware and operating system incompatabilities that were causing stability issues.  We took immediate action to upgrade our server and OS and are now on a great new dedicated server.

We have the shard running smoothly again, and are now back on a super-fast server, fast save times and have great new content.  Visit the forum and development logs on the wiki for details

Your new server has the following properties:

*Intel Xeon E3-1270 processor (8 3.5ghz cores on QPI + hyperthreading + turbo->3.9ghz)*32 GB DDR3-1600 ECC memory
*Virtual CPU cores: 8
*Memory size: 12288 MB
*1000 GB Solid State HDBase bandwidth: 18000 GB
*100 MBit Connection
*100 GB p/s Up/Down on a 500 MB switch/port supporting and backed by internap's state of the art 100% fiber optic data center located in Chicago.

This configuration is better than any other shard we could find to compare to, so I expect we will have top performance and be able to handle the future growth of UO Evolution

The move went seemlessly, so most players did not even notice.  The biggest diffence is that we are now on a fast, stable server with 5 second saves and no lag.  We have also cured the Operating System issues and dont expect any more downtime related to the hardware or OS

seems to be running great kane love the update =] thanks for all your hard work

It seemed pretty smooth yesterday. My average ping went from around 800ms to 150-200ms (which is correct for this type of server when you connect from europe).
More over, most of the freezes that occured between world saves disapeared.

On the other hand, world save used to take around 8-10 sec. Now it is more like 15-18 sec but it s not a big problem.

Not sure if there is a link but server is down atm.
You may be logging in to the old server?  We are ultra fast and saves are 5 secs, server is online

Save times are very fast 5.2 sec average. havent noticed any lag after he first day, but Im sure there were some min things needing tweaking, so understandable.
