Okay guys, I am curious to see if there are any people out there who would be interested in learning about how to change how graphics appear on their OWN computers. I got into this project because I have a hard time seeing some things in my pack, esp when they are dark brown or black.
I have done a number of mods to my own stuff but I have left the armor and weapons and stuff alone. I'm mainly thinking of teaching how to change the players backpack look when it is open and the color of the pouch gump and some chests that have a dark background. By all means everyone weigh in including staff. I want to hear everyone's opinion.

Yes I think this would be fun to learn more about this personally, because the staff already understands how this affects gameplay, but make sure you caution players not to make too many changes as to not see our proper items in game, or they may not see the correct monsters, quest objects or custom deco.

If you show players how to "swap" our custom dragon for an original dragon graphic I don't see harm in that.  Just make sure you don't add new graphics or items that are not in game.  Also I don't want any player-made patches released as to confuse new players

Yes, this would be interesting to see/do. Though, I hope you would post-- if possible-- how to set things back to default, also in the tutorial.

We have an extremely custom patch, with over 6 years worth of changes and customization.  You really could not put the patch we currently use, back to default.  You would not be able to see any of the buildings, custom deco, or monsters...

My post was actually for Agni-WhiteFlame. I apologize if there was confusion.

I am not asking for anything custom to be changed back to default. I like the way things are.  *smiles*

Yes certainly, Dante. I will advise against going overboard with changes, and I will be sure to mention that you don't want player patches released at all. You are the lead in that. and Yeah, I'm not planning on adding items that aren't there. I was simply considering a dragon swap, and the bag/backpack/chest gump color pallet swap. Sometime later I will post here some changes I've made. And believe me, you can definitely bork your game and have to reinstall if you are not careful LOL. I think I've had to revert back to the Evo client about 12 times now.

Hatchi, Yes this is one of the main things I will focus on. I am going to pull the graphics for them from an old version of UO [/size]

Sturger, Yeah, I will absolutely show how to revert any changes back to Evo's regular setup. Creating a backup is pretty simple.

I wish to make my backpack big as well as the items inside of it to appear larger.  From there to change the background color of the bag's interior to something a little lighter in color to better contrast with the items in the bag.

Increasing the Size of the backpack art might be tricky, as there are physical limitations on that, However the size of SOME of the items (keys, jewelry, reagents, etc) can be increased. I may in the future do a tutorial on that, BUT for now, I am sticking with the color/image of the backpack art itself. expect the first tutorial within the next 2 week I think.

When you figure out how to change the mounts and everything back to the "classics": horses, ostards, llamas, dragons (serpentine included), beetles, and all those other goodies, please let me know.

How do I setup UO Fiddler to work with this server to view the graphics?  I've got it downloaded but when I run it, it can't find any of the graphics.   Does this have to run from a certain directory or have files copied over?
