Archaeology Guide

To start you will need to head to the desert located by Trammel Fire Dungeon.  Once there you will need to start killing Graverobbers that spawn in the desert.  Once you have killed a robber there is a chance that they will have a blue book inside them, you will need to take this book to John Aubrey, the old Archaeologist, located in Trammel Papua at The Just Inn.

To talk to John Aubrey, single click him and click talk.  When you hit Okay, he will drop an archaeology bag inside your pack.  Inside the pack is a book and some brushes. You will need to read that book before you can dig up Artifacts.  Next step will involve you heading into a desert, for this guide we will be using the gate and going to the Lost Oasis Vendor Mall.

When you arrive in the desert you will need to double click one of your brushes inside your archaeology pack and select any desert tile.  You have a chance of receiving a regular artifact, a priceless artifact or nothing. You can continue mining a spot until it reports that there are no more artifacts to be found.

The Priceless artifacts will need to be appraised before you can sell them.  To do this, use forensic evaluation on them.  Once appraised head to Royal City located in Ter Mur and talk to the Artifact Fence.  Once you talk to him you can haggle the price they will pay you for the priceless artifacts.

The artifacts you really want are the regular ones as once you have 10 of them you can turn them in for a teleporter to a tomb.  To turn them in use the Public gate and head to Display >> Museum and then head up to the top of the museum to see Lian the Museum Curator.  You will single click Lian, select "talk" and then answer "Yes" when he asks a question.  If you have 10 regular artifacts, he will drop a teleporter in your pack.

The teleporter you receive is used by double clicking it.  WARNING: Make sure to have bandages and gift of life before entering these tombs as they are difficult sometimes.  When you enter the tomb, you will find monsters that will need to be killed before you will be able to safely access the chest.

There are two chests that spawn inside a tomb... A Treasure Chest and a Tomb Treasure Chest.  Basic Treasure chests have a few gold, gems, low level gear and some pet supplies.  The Tomb Treasure chest has a chance to drop Archaeology Gear and other rare gear.  What each chest contains depends on your luck.

Once you have opened the chest and looted it you are free to leave via the various holes in the walls you will find that will take you back to the Curator.
