Make sure you are unmounted and the axe is equipped.
Double click on it to select a tree like normal lumber jacking.
Target a valid pine tree. After the chopping animation you will get a decoration deed or plant.
ie. I have gotten a Poinsettia deed, a Poinsettia plant (non deed), and a Christmas tree deed.
