Hey all,

During my most recent break from UO, I've done a complete upgrade of my system (Previous build was running at, on the most up-to-date parts, 6 years old at least).

Now that I have the new one up and running (Minus my graphics card having to be RMA'd due to extreme artifacting causing repeated crashes, using a friend's GPU to keep afloat for now), I can't seem to get UOSteam to open the client no matter what I've tried. It seems to be a UOSteam issue only, as other programs and games have no problems, and even Razor will allow me to launch the client to log in... but who plays with Razor <,<

Here's what I've tried so far:

I feel like I've researched the problem as much as possible without asking, so I'm asking now, if anyone has found a solid solution to this problem that I haven't tried.

Just bought a new PC myself over the weekend and had a similar issue.
I had to edit the registry key in the Program File, in order for Steam to be recognized.  Let me know if this is something you haven't messed with yet. I can help you navigate it this week.

I edited the registry according to the link above, changing the name and location of the OpenGL files, but I'm not sure if that's what you did as well.

That's exactly what I did and it worked for me

I got this error too due to having two GPUs. The registry hack above worked for me also. It seems daunting but it really isn't I promise.

Windows automatically updated the graphics driver, and Chrome stopped working with an OpenGL ES Error dialog box stating "Can't find the name of the Intel ICD OpenGL driver." I rolled back the driver from 21.20.16.4574 to 20.19.15.4454 and it fixed the issue.

"I have a 64 bit system but am running a 32 bit version of Chrome (which I use because the 64 bit version is incompatible with other software I use. Chrome is the program that originally gave me the error. So it may be that running 32 bit programs on a 64 bit system causes the problem with this driver."

Have you checked if the issue persists with the latest driver version .4590?

Uninstalling current driver installed
Open the Device Manager.
Expand the Display Adapters section.
Find the Intel Graphics Driver.
Right click Intel Graphics Driver and select Uninstall.
Select the check box Delete the driver software for this device.
Reboot the computer after uninstall process has finished.

Manually Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 and Windows 8*/8.1*
